RED FLEX
The RED FLEX is a chipper canter and circular saw line with reducer technology. Thanks to automatic recirculation with up to three passes, the plant requires only minimal space while converting round timber into center products and unedged side boards.
The processing sequence for logs and cants is designed to achieve maximum flexibility.

3D Infeed Measurement
As with every LINCK plant, 3D infeed measurement forms the basis for value-optimised cutting, ensuring maximum recovery from every log.
Complex Cutting Patterns
Even complex cutting patterns can be achieved through multiple processing passes.
Production process
During the first pass, the chipper canter and circular saw group processes the log into a cant.
Based on LINCK’s proprietary evaluation of the 3D measurement data, the logs are rotated fully automatically at the chipper canter infeed, including mixed and alternating butt-end / top-end orientation.
The cant is transferred to the second pass via the return conveyor, while the unedged side boards are conveyed to the trimming line.
During the second pass, the cants are processed into scantlings and unedged side boards.
An additional 3D measuring system can optionally be installed upstream of the second pass to further optimise both main-product and side-board recovery.
Once all cants from the recirculation loop have been processed, the line automatically resumes feeding round timber.
To produce complex cutting patterns, this system also allows a third processing pass.
