Our customers rely on 200 years of experience:

Rooted in Tradition, leading in Technology.

Around 350 employees, more than 300 machines and sawlines on five continents: These figures clearly show what LINCK has already achieved. At the site, solutions for sawmills are developed, built and supported worldwide — from initial planning to commissioning. This is not only based on experience, technical know-how and a clear understanding of practical requirements, but above all the goal of providing lasting added value to the industry.

Our Journey Through Milestones

Since 1827, LINCK has stood for solutions in wood processing. Over generations, the company has grown through technical developments, important decisions and continuous work. The milestones in the company's history show how this journey has shaped LINCK and forms the basis for what the company stands for today.

1827

In 1827 Anton Linck took over his father's workshop and thus laid the foundation for the company, which still exists today. As a trained mechanic, he builds machines for sawmills and sets up systems for mills and breweries. His five sons later took over the company, which now operates under the name “Gebrüder LINCK, Maschinenfabrik, Oberkirch.”

1894

Four of Anton Linck's sons leave the company in 1894. From then on, Adolf Linck continues to run the business alone. Under the name “Gebrüder LINCK, owner Adolf Linck, Oberkirch”, the company is increasingly focusing on machines for sawmills. His sons Richard and Max later take over the management. LINCK therefore remains in family hands.

1945

After the Second World War, LINCK is realigning itself. Josef Traben, the first external managing director, is driving the reconstruction forward together with Klara Linck, the wife of Richard Linck. During this time, the company is sharpening its profile in mechanical engineering for woodworking and sawmills. With 180 employees and a turnover of 1.2 million DM, a new phase of growth is beginning.

2003

The integration of PLC software marks an important step in LINCK's technological development. At the same time, safety standards are being continuously expanded to meet the requirements of modern production environments. Sensor and scanner solutions are also becoming increasingly relevant and are now an integral part of LINCK's technological development.

2007

In 2007, LINCK acquires Esterer WD (EWD) with 260 employees and a turnover of 43 million euros. Automation and Digitalization have been shaping product development ever since. LINCK uses modern solutions, continuously optimizes processes and develops innovative machines for the wood and sawing industry.

2015

With the launch of OptiSIM optimization software, LINCK is consistently expanding its technological capabilities. At the same time, modernization solutions are increasingly shaping development, as it is also becoming increasingly important for sawmills to make existing sawlines fit for the future. In addition, active lifecycle management is becoming increasingly important and underlines the claim to proactively support customers throughout the entire life cycle of their systems.

2021

The introduction of myLINCK stands for the further expansion of digital solutions at LINCK. As a cloud-based platform, myLINCK connects central plant and operating data and thus creates the basis for greater transparency, better planning and well-founded decisions during operation. The solution thus supports active lifecycle management and data-based maintenance.
