CMSK

Saw Unit

Flexible, Powerful and Future-Ready

Logs, Cants and Squared Timber

The CSMK saw unit is a double-shaft machine designed for cutting logs, cants and squared timber.

Servo-controlled guide plates ensure high dimensional accuracy throughout the cutting process.

To distribute cutting forces evenly between the upper and lower saw blades, the saw shafts can be adjusted vertically in parallel.

Depending on the application, the machine can be equipped with two to eight saw axes.

This allows use both as a dedicated side board saw and as a highly flexible resaw unit in post-cut applications.

benefits

  • High application flexibility

  • Simultaneous separation into multiple products

  • High dimensional accuracy and cutting quality

  • High production output

Modular Machine Concept

Thanks to its modular design, the CSMK can be configured precisely for each application – whether for pre-cut or post-cut processing, with varying shaft configurations or specific cutting patterns.

Modern adjustment technology combined with intelligent machine control enables rapid changeovers – from varying board dimensions to changing product strategies.

This gives you maximum responsiveness to the timber market while maintaining high process stability.

Multiple Axles

The CSMK saw blades can be configured either as fixed arrangements with spacer rings on saw arbors or with up to four independently adjustable axes.

This enables simultaneous separation into multiple timber products with different dimensions.

Fast servo-hydraulic adjustment allows log-to-log positioning with minimal log gaps and makes the system also ideal for processing unsorted timber.

Guide Unit

Controlled Guide Unit

To ensure maximum dimensional accuracy, the CSMK is equipped with precision guide units.

These are positioned via separate servo-hydraulic axes according to the selected cutting pattern and guide the timber accurately through the machine.

Limiting Router

Limiting router

When the CSMK is used in pre-cut applications, an integrated limiting router unit is installed.

This removes overhangs caused by irregular stem shapes and protects the saw shafts against collisions.

Continuous Development

Constantly Improved

For years, CSMK has stood for high-performance sawing technology — it is constantly evolving to meet the increasing requirements of modern sawmills.

New technologies are integrated selectively and the existing system is continuously improved — without changing the proven, robust basic design.

This means that new, more energy-efficient motor generations are available, as is the NONstop-function, which enables maintenance work during operation.

We are constantly working to improve the efficiency of the sawmilling process. Quick-change tool clamping systems are available to reduce changeover times and further increase machine availability.
