The process

Even logs of inferior quality, e.g. heavily crooked logs, can be handled economically in case they are processed in short lengths.

As the profiling technology is the most economical way of producing lumber, it is particularly suitable for processing short sawlogs for which LINCK developed the corresponding plant concept. Machines whose design meets the special requirements for processing short logs handle the latter in the most efficient way. Such a sawline completely operates with machines for processing 1,20-2,50 m long logs. Guide rollers are arranged directly in front and behind the tools to always guarantee a reliable guiding of the logs during operation.
